BasketballConnect now have the option to hide your competition registration from public view. This means no one will be able to search for a hidden competition within your organisation or even a particular division within a competition.
This can be helpful if:
- You have set up a registration form to collect fees only for particular participants
- You are reopening closed registrations for an individual or team only
- You are limited on spots and can only have returning players register to your competition
If your registration links are public, anyone using the BasketballConnect app or accessing via the desktop are able to search for a competition within your organisation without the need for a registration link:
Hiding particular divisions or an entire competition from the public will mean anyone who searches your organisation for that competition will have this screen display:
This function is available in your registration form which you access via the Registrations Module.
1 | Select the Competition tab then select Registration Form |
2 | By default, any divisions you select to be available on your registration form will also be available publicly. You will see the boxes on the right side of the screen ticked for public display |
3 | Here you can untick any or all divisions you would like hidden from the public then scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Update |
4 |
You will now have two URLs at the top of your Registration Form screen. The first link is the public display link which is what all users can access either by you sharing the link with them or searching for your organisation's competitions. Any divisions that you have unticked from public display will not be offered to the participant using this link.
The second link is the hidden link that you will need to share directly with anyone who will need to register with you. You can use this to send to your mailing lists or individuals as required. They will be offered all divisions public and hidden that they are eligible to register to. |
