A BasketballConnect update was released on the 29th of January 2024.
New Contacts Section in Our Organisation
This new section houses all your Admin users, instead of them appearing at the bottom of your General section like before.
New All Incidents Section
A new 'All Incidents' section is available when you open the Match Day module.
This section allows you to view all incidents underneath your entity, in which you can filter by
- Year
- Competition/Program Organiser
- Competition/Program
- Affiliate
- Type (e.g Injury, Referee Report, Discipline)
- Status (Submitted, Not Submitted)
This enhancement could be extremely beneficial for Associations who want an overview of all incidents across their competitions (to save them clicking into each competition at a time and pulling reports).
'Submit for Grading' button in Teams Module now takes you straight to Team Grading
This change now speeds up the grading process, where once you press Submit For Grading you will be taken directly to the Fixtures > Team Grading section to propose/finalise grades.
New Ladder Calculation - Average Points Per Game
Description provided by WSA:
If two or multiple teams are on the same win % then the team with the higher points is ranked higher but if that is the same then the team with the higher goal percentage (for points divided by against points) is placed higher on the ladder.
Officials Module Updates
1. On the Officials Module Dashboard, there is now a search bar which you can use to enter the name of a referee or official and any matches they have been allocated to will appear:
2. Also on the dashboard, you can filter the displayed matches by the appointment status of accepted, declined, no response:
3. When manually editing/allocating referees and officials on the dashboard, it will now display their age, accreditation level and suburb to assist in allocating to the appropriate matches. N.B. They must have this information entered into their user profile to be visible here):
4. In the Payments screen, you now have the option to mark a payment as not required. This is useful if you have allocated a referee or official using the algorithm and there is a set payment attached to that allocation but in some instances, they do not require to be paid for that match:
Any matches for the referee or officials you selected will now display without a payment:
